Water is essential to our lives. We need it more than we even need food. Every day we can be dehydrated and not really know it. Often we forget to drink due to work and school. We will wait until we are thirsty to drink when in reality that is the wrong thing to do. At that point our bodies are already begging for water when we should have been drinking before that. A simple remedy is to keep big containers (not bottles) of water near you. Bottles can be dangerous if the chemicals from the plastic leak into the water. It is better to be safe than sorry in this case and just drink clean filtered water in a glass.
Our bodies need water because we are mostly made of it. And we are constantly using it, For example, we use water every time we exhale, talk, or exercise. So how much water should we drink? Well, it will all depend on the person because you will need to know your weight. Take your weight and divide it in half and this will be the number of fluid ounces of water you will need to drink. For example, if you weigh 120 pounds you will need to drink 60 ounces of water every day.
Water is very important to our bodies. We all need to do our best to remember to drink lots of water (not too much though) every day. It not only will keep us healthy but prevent further health issues in the future.
