The Story of the Treasure Seekers was written by Edith Nesbit. The book is being told by one of the characters who later tells the reader who he or she is. The book captures the attention of the reader quickly and keeps you reading the whole way through.
I really enjoyed the plot to the story. The book was full of different stories about the children and they were all connected by their plans to restore the fortunes of their home. Each story was separate from the other but had one person or thing that tied it to the plot of the story.
Another enjoyable thing about the book was how easy and fun it was to read. Because the book is being told by one of the children the stories felt very real and never dull. Reading the story you saw their life through a child’s eyes. Several times the children would make silly mistakes or confusions that brought a lot of humor to the story.
The book was very easy to read and I would highly recommend it to young children. Adults would enjoy it as well because of the childish humor but the more appropriate audience would be young children. It is usually hard to capture young children’s attention but because the book was told by a child it could be relatable to them. The book would be great to read as a whole family.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Edith Nesbit is a great children’s fiction writer. I would definitely recommend it to others who enjoy an entertaining fiction.
